Hola! Como estás mis amigos? There is one thing that you should know about me: ME GUSTA QUACAMOLE! Really, it is my obsession. It is healthy, tasty, rich and smooth. At my mother’s house, we eat it on a weekly basis (most times even twice a week!). So, I could say my mother, brother and I may or may not all have mastered the making of the holy dip itself: quacamole. And today I am going to share our take at it! Vamos…

I N G R E D I E N T S (for 4 people) :

  • 2 avocados (or three if they are small)
  • 1 big tomato or about 4 cherry tomatoes
  • 1 union
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 1 small ts of olive oil (not necessary though)
  • less that 1 ts of lemon juice (lime works as well)
  • Pepper
  • Salt
  • a bit of (chili)pepper for those who like it extra spicy

M A N U A L :

Start of with cutting your avocados in half en removing the pit. Then, you want to slice the avocados in small squares like the picture below so that it is easier to mix it all togheter. The best way to do this is with a fork, so that you can squish it and make it mend togheter.

Now that everything is smooth, start with adding a few drops of lemon juice and begin with removing the fruitful, moisty parts from the tomato with a spoon (or with however you would like to do this) after you have cut it in half and then start slicing the tomatoes in tiny little pieces like so:

Okay, now you want to cut the garlic in tiny pieces as well (as small as you can) and start with cutting the union in pieces with about the same size like the tomato, and if possible, even smaller. I was just too lazy and unproffesional to do this, haha ;). After you did this you can add it both to the mix as well and mend it all togheter!

Almost there! Lastly, add some olive oil, salt and pepper. Personally, I like to add quite a bit of pepper for some extra taste. I’d recommend you do the same, but the choice is totally yours.

Tada, este es todo! Here’s the result. We looove eating nachos with this and I absolutely recommend you trying this too! If you try this recipe, please let me know how it worked out and if you like it as much as we do.

Hasta pronto y buen provecho!
